In 2012, 16.1 million or approximately 22 percent of children in the United States lived in poverty and these numbers are growing exponentially.
We’ve all seen the lonely, the hungry and even the destitute in America due to the economic crisis that’s hit our nation. Parents without jobs, families losing their homes and desperation on the faces of the children who don’t understand why there’s no food or shelter. When we see these things, our first response is to be thankful we’re not in that situation, however we need to be the first ones to respond with “How can I help?”.
RESQ™ is banding communities together with one purpose and vision to create a self-sustaining community of support and resourcing to meet the needs of the community. Every person, be it a volunteer or a supporter is making a difference. We are able to help at-risk children and those needing food, shelter, educational assistance, medical assistance, etc. within our network of facilities and charities to assist in meeting these needs.
